Hands to Hold Terms of Service
Plain and fair. Who may use Hands to Hold, how your account and documents work, and what Volt LLC and the agency each do.
Effective date: November 7, 2026
1. Who these Terms are with
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Volt LLC, 610 Old York Road, Suite 400, Jenkintown, PA 19046. Volt LLC builds and operates the Hands to Hold app and this website. By creating an account or using Hands to Hold you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains what the app collects and how it is protected.
Hands to Hold is a free app made for Hands to Hold Home Care, a home care agency in Pennsylvania. It lets caregivers apply and finish their hiring forms and policies, upload a few documents, take training, sign forms and message the office. Clients and their families use it to sign forms and stay in touch with the office, and office staff use it to manage all of this.
Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for Hands to Hold or what it contains.
2. Who may use Hands to Hold
Hands to Hold is for people who are applying to work with the agency or already do, for the agency's clients and the family members or representatives who help them, and for the agency's office staff. You must be 18 or older to create an account. Office staff accounts are given only by the agency.
3. Your account and accurate information
One account per person. Please give true, complete and current information, and update it when something changes. The agency relies on what you enter to make real decisions, so information that is false or out of date can affect your application, your work or your care.
Keep your password private and tell us or the office right away if you think someone else has gotten into your account. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
4. The agency makes hiring and care decisions
Volt LLC provides the app. Hands to Hold Home Care, not Volt LLC, decides whom to hire, what training and documents it requires, and how care is planned and given. Volt LLC is not your employer, is not a home care provider, and is not a party to any job offer, employment relationship or care agreement between you and the agency.
Questions about an application, a hiring decision, your pay or your care belong with the agency office. You can reach them by messaging the office inside the app.
5. Not medical advice and not an emergency service
Hands to Hold does not give medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Training in the app teaches the agency's policies and good practice, and it does not replace the judgment of a doctor, nurse or other licensed professional.
Hands to Hold is not an emergency service. Messages to the office may not be read right away. In an emergency, call 911.
6. Documents you upload and forms you sign
You may upload documents the agency asks for, such as a photo ID or a health or clearance record. Only upload documents that belong to you, or that you have the right to share, and make sure they are real, readable and current. You keep ownership of what you upload. You let Volt LLC store, process and show it to the agency only so the app can work and the agency can do its job.
When you sign a form or a policy in the app, you agree that your electronic signature is your legal signature, just as if you had signed on paper, and that the agency may keep a signed copy. Please read each form before you sign it. If you have a question about a form, ask the office before signing.
The agency must keep some records for as long as the law requires, so certain signed forms and documents stay with the agency even after an account is closed. Our Privacy Policy explains this.
7. Using Hands to Hold fairly
Please do not:
- pretend to be someone else, or sign a form for another person without their permission
- upload documents that are fake, altered or not yours to share
- send messages that are threatening, harassing, hateful or abusive
- look at, copy or share anyone else's information unless your role in the agency allows it
- try to get into accounts or data that are not yours, or test, break or overload the app
- copy, resell or take apart the app, except as the law allows
8. Ending access
We or the agency may suspend or close an account, without notice, if these Terms are broken, if the account puts other people or their information at risk, or if the person no longer has a reason to use the app, for example when an application is closed or an office role ends.
9. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from inside Hands to Hold. Deleting your account removes your personal data from our active systems, except the records the agency must keep by law. You can also ask us to delete your data using the steps in our Privacy Policy.
10. No guarantees
Your use of Hands to Hold is at your own risk. The app is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work hard to keep it running and secure, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that every message or upload will go through.
11. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Volt LLC, its directors, employees, partners, agents and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages that come from your use of, or inability to use, Hands to Hold, from any decision the agency makes, from anything another user says or does in the app, or from anyone getting into your account or data without permission.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and of the United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is important, we will try to give at least 30 days of notice before it takes effect, in the app or on this page. Using Hands to Hold after a change means you accept the new Terms.
