Volt's own app for clearing your head: talk for a minute and get back separate plans, each with its steps already in order.
The Challenge
Most to do apps assume you already know what your tasks are. Usually you do not. A dozen unrelated things are circling at once, and writing them down neatly is the part that never happens.
The app needed to take one messy ramble, spoken or typed, keep the unrelated things apart, and hand each one back in an order you can act on, without a wall of settings between a new person and their first plan.
What We Built
Braindump is one of Volt's own products, designed, built, and run in house rather than for a client. Volt built it around a single screen with one obvious action: tap the microphone and start talking.
Capture
DUMPThe home screen asks one question and offers one button. Recording keeps listening through pauses, and typing is always one line below it.
Plans
PLANSEach thing you mentioned comes back as its own plan with numbered steps, so rescheduling the dentist never gets merged into training for a half marathon.
Calendar and Account
YOUA calendar that shows only the plans you gave a date, plus sharing, support, and account controls kept out of the way until you need them.
The Outcome
Braindump turns the most common kind of mess, too many things at once, into a short list of plans that each start with the obvious next step. It is live on Google Play.
